I'm working into my swimming program eeeeeasily.
I just walked passed the Y, didn't go in, bought a slice of pizza and a diet coke (had lunch), read my paperback (The Colour of Magic), walked back passed the Y, and didn't go in again. Whew! I'm all tuckered out.
Diet coke though, impressive!

Zkrib, I thought you were going to do a bit of swimming when you finished your impressive diet coke?
Nope. What I said was, after having my impressive diet coke, I walked passed the Y but didn't go in.
Later that night, I was watching a commercial -- the one where the lady is in the car waiting for the gears to shift so she can put on her lipstick -- and I saw the car drive passed the Y. That couple also did not stop and go it.
Then today at lunch, I walked over, went in, took the guided tour, flirted with the lady lifeguard at the pool , took some literature and an application form, and left. Whew, this exercise stuff is hard work.

Zkrib, how goes it? Have you stuck your toe in the water yet? Any 'Extreme Dipping' to report?
Getting closer everyday.
The hang up at the Y is that it's $125 to join then $57/month. That's a bit pricey for just a bit of paddling.
This morning, I stopped and talked to my ex-housemate-now-next-door-neighbor. She wants to get a small backyard pool for her place, but she and her hubby can't afford it because she hasn't gone back to work since the baby was born. So I told her to price them, and if it's not to bad, I'll buy it (one won't really fit into my teeny backyard).
