While Czechs ordered the expulsion themselves, Poles did not. The legal London gouverment, the one abandoned by western powers, was actually sceptical towards acquiring Lower Silesia because it claimed Poland could not absorb that number of Germans - it certainly didn't think of forcing them out.
Forcing Germans out was a common Soviet-British-American-(Frnech) decisions. The Germans gave examples to it during the war.
There was looting, but not quite as You imagine. Authorities didn't want it, and the victims were often Poles who already settled there. The first post-war president of my city was killed when he tried to stop a soviet soldier from looting.
Also, keep in mind Poles were displaced from polish eastern provinces as well, got no reparations (unless sometimes from Poland; my family didn't get any), and the conditions of transport were the same.
Except for that some were earlier taken to Kazachstan or Siberia and had to travel from there.
Now, You give me proofs. Not German or anti-polish ones.
In any event the poles were themselves the victims of forced expulsions at the same time from the vast eastern chunk of their country that was annexed by the soviet union. Poland was actually smaller after the war than before it.
Essentially all resentment over the expulsions should be directed towards the soviet union and Nazi Germany.

Ecthy, Poland did moce west a couple of hundred miles, I've heard that before. So it just has to be shoved over a bit, but at the expense of who? Belorus?
Cort Haus, thanks, I did PM him asking what he knows about my father's efforts in the goal. Besides seeing some clippings as a kid he didn't say much about it.Long time member @ Apolyton

Just noticed that. Just how silly is German geography?
We could try moving Prussia to some other part of the world -- just cut it out from the European continent, then find a way to transport Prussia elsewhere.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

The majority of Belarus used to be Poland. That said no matter what the powerless Polish government in London thought the Communist goverment of Poland (the defacto government) did take part in the expulsions of germans. Even in areas where Germans were the ethnic majority.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

It did cut German power and reduce the threat of further German efforts to attain their proper place in the colonial world, which really mattered to europeans.
Now that the colonial world has gone its way the solutions have become the problems, such as moving the German border east 200 miles. That's a hard pill to swallow if you're testicles are functioning properly.Long time member @ Apolyton
