      Oh yawn.

Now yer just bellyaching because the German civ had a late start and a hand up from the Celts and Romans and Goths.

Be happy with Altdorfer, Beethoven and Hildegard of Bingen, why don't'cha ?

I defeated Soviet Russia during the Cold War, with a little help from my friends.

          • "Yes Kaliningrad ex. Königsberg. It's a Russian exclave now, since the Baltic states bordering it have become independant."

Wasn't Konisberg the gate of Germany once? Established by Fredrick himself?!?

            Now a Russian enclave!

Bad shoes and poor suits also defeated the Soviet civ.

Everyone wanted a Gap, Hermes and Body Shop and access to real cheap online porn and pirated music.

Who wanted to see Mrs. Andropov's winter drawers ?

              • Molly, turned out we just had to hold em, and let the lack of trade goods drive them to civil unrest.

                • They need to let some of those communist wild boars loose in the Black Forest.

They had beaucoup Cuban sugar/cigars. But they needed more trade routes, definitely.

And not with then market powerhouses like Syria, Angola and Mozambique and Viet Nam....

I really recommend this recording, by the way. Beats the Hoff any day.

                        Oooh, Altdorfer is right peachy.

His landscapes were kinda real neat- like 19th Century German Romanticism before its time.

Abbess Hildegard was darn tootin' famous in her day. One of the few people dramatists in Europe between the late Roman era and the Renaissance, she was also a diplomat (of sorts) a painter, mystic, composer, writer and scientist.

                        Not bad for a nun.
