Hey, I used to identify more with the Republicans than I did with the Dems. Part of that was being young, naive and uninformed. But part of it has to do with core beliefs that I still hold... but which the Republicans have either ditched or never really held in the first place (which one it is really doesn't matter).

**** them. Gently with a chainsaw.

P.S. Oh, and I registered as an independent ... although I was tempted to go Libertarian for a minute or two.
If the Republicans have damaged America, the Libertarians will destroy it.

As a world power, perhaps. But I don't think Libs are concered with that.

I think a Libertarian government, if they actually enacted what they'd like, would do a little more than just destroy the US as a world power. You'd likely see rather substantial social upheaval, and maybe even a breaking apart of the country if they stayed in power long enough (which, granted, would be difficult to do).

Nothing to worry about. It'll never happen. Libertarian dogma is too rigid to survive actually having to govern.

A pure libretarian doctrine can not run the goverment.

However a political system can place great emphasis on libretarian ideology and still be succesful.

Cool. Drain some democrat support. Not that it does any good for you, being in Florida and all. It's cool. Jeb will lead you just fine.

Niether could a pure republican, or pure democrat.

It would be nice to see a three party system of checks and balances, however. That way, two parties could always investigate the third.

I have never voted democrat, but this administration, and it's zealous followers, have almost convinced me to vote straight D next election... allthough I know I would regret it.

Not that it matters, the Iraq war has guaranteed bad times ahead.... So whoever is in power will get the blame.

So I'll vote Libertarian again. that way D's or R's can get the blame, they both deserve it anyway.
