Someone born and raised in BC who has a winter home in Arizona (there are a great nu,mber of them) is still a citizen of BC.

a) They're not a "citizen" of BC; they're a resident of BC

b) If they choose to live somewhere else more than half the time, then why the **** should they get to vote in BC? It's their problem that the place they live more than half the time is in another country, and thus does not allow them to vote there

I think they are citizens of the province they are born in, own property in, and spent most of their working lives contributing to.

They should get to vote in BC because they earned the right to.

I've never heard of any of our snowbirds being disenfranchised. There'd be hell to pay.

When people go to another place, the natural reaction is usually "well, that's how things work here". OTOH when they go to Quebec, for some obscure paternalistic reason, it's always something like "but why aren't you like us???"

Easy. Take away one year of high school. Then make it that it's 3 years instead of 4 to graduate with a college degree. The two years in the middle are called cegep.
