      For better or worse, the Bonus Army is mentioned in Highschool (my history teacher sucked (nice enough guy though) and it was mentioned.. like most history that I didn't study for myself, it didn't really stick out though).

            This could be May 4 1970 at Kent State Ohio

            or maybe it was August 1 1966 and Charles Whittman was speaking to the University of Texas

                            Wasn't he the guy who, decades ago, the Texas Legislature voted an award for due to his efforts in population control?

                            (A legislator introduced it to make the point his fellow leglislators weren't paying attention to what they were voting on.)
