yeah basically it just causes me to fart alot. Really smelly bad farts. Worse than beer farts. I do get moderate diareah (can't remember how to spell this word), but mostly it's just gas and cramping. I still eat ice cream sandwhiches occasionally, but I won't drink milk at all. But I do eat small amounts of ice cream such as sherbert.

Like I said, my northern european heritage should ensure I can digest it. But it might be my native american ancestery that is causing it. I really don't have any native american features though. I'm only about 1/16th.

You can take those pills from those commercials. Of course, during those commercials you can't help but image that the girl explaining everything is farting the whole time. Which of course leads to laughter followed by strange looks from your friends.

I tried those lactaid pills. The pills themselves gave me cramping. . They didn't work for me.

I don't miss it much. milk was great in the navy though. it's the one product they were pretty good at supplying. Even overseas. The meat may have been of ****ty quality. But they usually had good milk. Even though it was very expensive to ship that much milk overseas. Only a few times in the persian gulf did we have to resort to using dry milk and similar products. Milk was the only food the navy had that consistantly tasted good. Most of the food in the navy was of average quality at best, and usually of poor quality.

I do miss ice cream of course. oh well.

In other news the Viking colony in North America was likely destroyed due to Indians being lactose intolerant. To make friends with their neighbors the Vikings invited them to a feast where milk, cheese, and yogurt were part of the meal. Supposedly the Indians suffered from severe cramping after the meal and thought they had been poisoned so a war broke out with the outnumbered Vikings getting the worse of it dispite their steel weapons and armor.
