It's already been pointed out that real cheese has little if any lactose in it.

I eat a ton of cheese.

        ACK!

Most mammilian species lose the ability to digest milk (Significantly less production of lactice, really) once they grow up. Humans are a freak of nature in this regard, as well as cats.

I don't eat cheese. Not because I can't digest it, but I hate the taste.

But milk = good, especially 2% (skim isn't milk, its white water)

Not really freaks just products of evolutionary biology. If you live in an area with lots of cows & goats but the your crop fails then what do you do? You can't just kill and eat them all so you try to find another way to get calories out of them and dairy is the way to do it. Those who could eat dairy survived and those who couldn't died.

It wasn't just Europe which had such conditions as many Bantu groups (the largest native African language group) herded cattle but didn't farm thus they also had evolutionary pressure to favor the dairy eaters over the nondairy eaters.

I'm lactose intolerant. I have no patience for lactose, and I will not stand for it.

I know others that are similiar. I am pretty sure that cheese is an aquired taste.

If you get some kind of abnormal reaction to regular milk (not skimmed). Stomach ache, loose bowel, vomitting, etc.

I am lactose intolerant myself, although I don't have much problems with skimmed milk or chocolate milk (odd, that is). Soy milk is fine, though.
