I'm complaining as Prodi claimed victory BEFORE the overall votes were counted. At the moment of the announcement, the centre-right had the majority at the Senate and a slight minority at the Parliament. This morning Unione had an advantage for the number of the senators, as votes coming from abroad gave a bonus. Still, CDL has more votes than them AND they don't have 50% in any of the two.
The Constitution says that in order to win the elections, a party MUST have the 50% plus one vote in BOTH.
If you claim victory when you have a majority of 49,8% and a minority (even with more senators) of 48%, to say that you are the winner is illegal.
