Like to get it up the ass, don't you datajack?

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly. On behalf of mr. Prodi, a great friend and supporter of Croatia's entry into EU, I'll explain. Textile is the First Industry. Numero Uno. No advanced economy is based on textiles any more. You want to move on. English textiles weren't killed by the yellow people, it probably died a lot earlier.Originally posted by Datajack Franit
Tell me what happened to England's textile and manufacturing industry when Japan and Korea walked in, Mr. Prodi.

I've read about him in Alan Ford even before I found out that he exists, and I must say, he's even funnier in real lifeSo I voted for Berlusconi's party.

 Seriously... I hate you

I mean, what on EARTH were you thinking? Of course Italy has some "huge economic problems". They were created by Berlusconi, his massive budget deficits have destroyed the Italian economy into a point where it's state along with the crappy economy of France are the #1 reason why the whole Eurozone economy is now in a permanent stagnation. OMG Berlusconi destroyed the Italian economy! Now, the only person who can save us from this disaster is... BERLUSCONI HIMSELF! Gotta love that logic! The best way to solve existing crises which the government is doing nothing to... is to RE-ELECT THE INCUMBENT!

This thread is just further proof that Europe is filled with *** *******s.

Oh God, I want to move to Canada.

They canand there is absolutely no way budget deficits can hurt demandifwhen they're going to Berlusconi's personal swiss bank account.

The point is that taking high-interest rate loans forever ****s up your economy. Italy has now a public debt of, what, 100% of it's GDP?

You're correct about "destroyed", I don't think it's an accurate term.

The more it is subsidized, the worse it's products get.I'm curious what happens with FIAT

If you recall, Italy didn't suddenly erupt from being a boring peaceful country into political chaos, debts and scandals. Italy did all those things since forever. Berlusconi actually stabilized things.

Debt as percentage of GDP is important, but not the only important thing. I think Belgium has about 100% and I see noone raising a fuss about that.

I mentioned FIAT because north Italy is very competitive and economically strong in world terms, but Italian industry needs its champions. It will be interesting to see what happens as competition in auto industry increases. They don't have much maneuver space in FIAT.

About ten years ago, it was about 115% (?), currently it's around 90% IIRC.

Of course, the debt of Belgium isn't going going to influence anything, Italy on the other is still o little bigger than us. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. And the party for those medal winners will be held on the "victory square" in Bozen, renamed because "peace square" was so offensive for Italians. "The world is too small in Vorarlberg".
