To be fair, the Archbishop of Canterbury actually seems a pretty decent bloke, he's been opposed to the government's actions in Iraq, trying to liberalise the church, especially with respect to their attitude on homosexuality, and seems to have a good bit of common sense - he's a bit of a leftie really

Just to be clear, AoC is not rejecting creationism per se. He's just saying it should be taught in schools.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, has stepped into the controversy between religious fundamentalists and scientists by saying that he does not believe that creationism - the Bible-based account of the origins of the world - should be taught in schools.
It is the job of churches to teach religion, not the job of schools.

Ben is not an Anglican and never has been. IIRC Ben was raised a Mennonite. Trust me, there's a difference.

Come to think of it, the Archbishop isn't a Cardinal, and never has been.

Oh, now I understand why you're so in favor of the youth vote. You want those throngs of Catholic kids to have a chance to vote in a Papal dictatorship before they get sold for medical experiments. Well it won't work, and do you know why? Because we're Protestant and we could have sex, if we wanted to, and not worry about having kids 'cause we can use birth control........ which we would........ if we wanted to have sex that is.

            right back at you.

Actually my mom is a nominal Anglican, and I was baptised in the Anglican church. She stopped going a long time ago, and we stopped going with her.

I didn't become a Mennonite until I met one at the university.

The difference is that the Catholics would actually keep having kids.

One of these days I'm going to convert to Anglicanism, or Episcopalianism, or whatever its called. I really am.
