Thank God he didn't get it. But you must have seen my very vocal opposition to this bill around here - I can't see any value for detaining someone for that period of time without charge...if they are a suspected terrorist then surely surveillance would be more suitable whilst they are free to gather terrorism. But then you have the Patriot Act. So this pissing contest is pointless.
