  • I heard on the radio, just a bit ago, that the ratings of this Olympics are down a full 6 points compared to 2002 (Salt Lake City)...

Let's see an Olympics in the home country, where all the sports are live, compared to an Olympics hours away, where most of the primetime sports are tape delayed. I wonder why the ratings would be down.

    Moron.

US and Japan's women curling teams are HOT! I'd hit it .

I only thought one of the Japanese girls on that team was hot. Three on the US team though.

However, this was the first curling match I've ever seen, so I was a bit distracted trying to figure out what was going on. So it's basically oversized shuffleboard?

And it goes on a bit longer than shuffleboard, with 'innings' and a total time limit. GREAT GAME

          • However, it seems that whoever gets the last play has the advantage.

Yes, whoever has the 'hammer' does have an advantage in their end. But the losing team of an end gets the hammer in the next one.

Thanks to your lobbyists it is. Halfpipe gave you two golden and two silver medals out of your total 7 medals (5G+2S). Without those medals you would be only third in the current standing.

Anyhow, we still have more medals than you do.(4G+3S+2B).

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Sure, we have not lost a single Olympic gold in Pairs Figure Skating since 1964. We pwn absolutely everyone in this discipline.

Btw, the Russkies had to overcome a tragedy too. In a previous tournament the Russian woman suffered a severe concussion when her partner dropped her from 8-9 ft in the air and she landed on her head. OUCH! You could see he hasn't regained his confidence from that, he was really tentative holding her up with one hand.
Are you sure they were Russians? I don't remember that. We had other tragedy. The partner of Elena Berezhnaya struck her head with his skate during routine training session, but it was long before the Salt Lake City. She fought for her life several months, but later not only came back in sport, but won the Olympic gold.

                            She is a hero.

                            And beauty!
