    Ok, what should Denmark do?

    • @Krill : If the police deems it nessecary to shoot in such a situation, then it is so, but that wasn't that easy to read out of your comment.

      • See that there's easy pickings. Grab those 500 and kick them out (or intern them or whatever). Nothing a few months in Guantanamo won't fix...

        • Winston, I'm afraid that's accurate. I'm SURE that some extrtmeist group WILL succeed in kidnapping a Dane and they will not hesitate to execute him/her/them on live TV.

This is what I'm afraid of most, because when that happens.. I see the Nordic countries getting really angry, I mean most of my friends who are like SDP socialist voters are now getting pissed off to whole religion of Islam, you know getting away from the preaching to 'forget what I said earlier, they should all go to hell' stuff. Thsi from the moderate ones.

If we see someone getting killed.. it's on. Man, it's on. On what level though.. that's uncertain. I personally want to see spec ops taking Munich type action, killing the extremist group members one by one after locating them. These things can't go by without punishment. We are stronger and we should not be afraid to show the power and submit some fractions to normalize things.

The new message of Europe should be something new. It used to be about few values, freedom, about different people and appreciating differencies etc... it should be those PLUS if you **** with us, we walk the walk.

Oh, I will admit that I can't communicate that well. Sorry for the confusion

            • Donegeal, I don't know what they should do. They should demand the leadership of any country that is participating in these actions to (its citizens) calm them down, and to apologize for this. They should demand that Danish authorities will help in these operations, on intelligence side purely. This is to see if the local gorvernments are still friendly or are they totally against. IF against, and nothing calms down and we get first casualty, I'd go to UN and NATO. Denmark shouldn't be alone in this, isolated with this problem. This shoudl be a group effort, what ever it will be, it's done with a wide front.

                • Bad news about Mr Jihad Momani.

Jordan editor held in cartoon row

A Jordanian newspaper editor sacked after publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad has been arrested.

Jihad Momani is accused of insulting religion under Jordan's press and publications law.

The newspaper had fired him after he decided to reproduce the cartoons - originally printed in Denmark - which have caused a global storm of protest.

Some of the cartoons depict Muhammad as a terrorist. Any images of the Prophet are banned under Islamic tradition.

                  'Abuse of freedom'

Mr Momani's arrest came a day after Jordanian King Abdullah condemned the cartoons as an unnecessary abuse of freedom of speech.

Mr Momani's paper, Shihan, had printed three of the cartoons, alongside an editorial questioning whether the angry reaction to them in the Muslim world was justified.

"Muslims of the world be reasonable," wrote Mr Momani.

"What brings more prejudice against Islam, these caricatures or pictures of a hostage-taker slashing the throat of his victim in front of the cameras or a suicide bomber who blows himself up during a wedding ceremony in Amman?"

                  Apology

In a public letter of apology after his sacking, Mr Momani said he did not mean to cause offence, Reuters news agency reported.

Arab Printers Company, the publisher, also withdrew copies of the popular tabloid from news stands across the country and promised tough moves against those involved.

The drawings have sparked protests in countries including Indonesia, Iraq, Turkey and Egypt.

A number of European newspapers have printed the cartoons, but the Jordanian paper was believed to be the first in a Muslim country to do so.

Sources say an inquiry is also under way into another Jordanian publication which also subsequently printed some of the images.
I really hope that this sane voice survives

Fine! Let there be limits to freedom of the press, in your country. Go ahead do it, whatever. Your loss.

But DO NOT try to impose your laws where they do not belong. And certianly, do not attack and burn (and yes, someone, probably alot of someones, are going to die from this) because we do not follow your laws outside of your country.

                    Piss off.

                    • That's the problem IMO, I mean, the extremists can live as long as the western world keeps itself tied by its own balls, meaning that it is having problems doing war, ethical ones.

If that obstacle is removed, and war truly does gain massive support, meaning we are not interested in every collateral damage done, the ME is gone, we can erase it from history books. That's the way it is. So, I would advice even for extremists to think twice, they are not strong enough yet to even give a challenge.

How has US and Russia responded to this?

Ehrm, no - it just happen to be on another floor in the same building. It's not easy to confine a fire to a single floor - call it collateral damage

It's their own fault for being in the same building as the evil Danes, thus giving their indirect support for the insult to the prophet (peace be upon him)

What do you mean ? The Chilean embassy was burned because it was sited in the same building as the danish - not because it was in the neighbourhood.
