Civ 4 is making me buy more memory.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

The Ars Technica system guide, with suggestions for a budget box, a hot rod and the God box.

The System Guide makes its 2006 debut! This month, we refresh the big three…

For the God box, they suggest:

      - 2 AMD Opteron 280 (both dual core CPUs)
      - 8 GB Ram
      - Two eVGA Geforce 7800GTX 512MB
      - Creative X-Fi
      - Maxtor Atlas 15k II 147GB 8E073L0 (147GB, Ultra320 (320MB/sec peak) interface, 15,000 RPM, 3.1ms seek, 8MB cache. Fast doesn't begin to describe it.)
      - Two HP L2335 23" LCDs (One is good, two is better)

Let us be lazy in everything, except in loving and drinking, except in being lazy – Lessing

          A 7800 is so passé...
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

When you are ready to buy, go to Dell's site, click on the Dell Outlet link, click on Dimension desktops, scroll over to the right to get the highest level XPS and click View Inventory.

If you don't find something that tickles your fancy, check back in four hours and line-up will be updated.

These days, if you are not going to build your own, Dell provides solid enough systems with good components that will get job done. You should be able to spend between $1000 and $1200, so you can use the remaining cash to buy a nice LCD.

Or you could buy a new system and get the LCD for free, but will end up spending about the same.

I check them out on occasion but I've noticed the website is down alot. Must be during one of those updates. I'm trying to keep an open mind on my upcoming purchase. My current PC is a Gateway P3 and the two before that were Packard Bells.

Velocity Micro are supposed to be real good (well, at least CNET thinks so). They take advantage of overclocking and put a Hell of a lot of fans in it .

Though I plan on getting a monitor from Buy.com or somewhere. Not impressed with Velo Micro's offerings there.

                              You deserve to be horsewhipped.
