I won't be seeing Brokeback Mountain for pretty much the same reason that I won't be seeing Bridges of Madison County -- too much romance, not enough 'splosions. Though in all fairness, Brokeback Mountain might have a plethora of 'splosions, but nobody would bother mentioning them. If there were 'splosions in Bridges of Madison County then people would probably say "It was very romantic and/or disgusting how two old people had sex, but what was up with all of the 'splosions?", whereas with Brokeback Mountain people would be more likely to say "I hate gays and so I hated this movie," or "I like gays and so I liked this movie," or "I like gays but I hated this movie so now let me explain how I can possibly hate this movie and yet still like gays," and nobody would even think to mention the awesome 'splosions that detracted from all of the gay sex.

did you ever see "End of the Affair" ? That was a romantic drama that also had explosions. "Year of Living Dangerously" too, IIRC. Come to think of it there are lots of romantic dramas that have explosions and stuff. Helps to keep hetero marriages together, ya know?
Mr and Mrs Smith, OTOH, was a romantic comedy with Pitt and Jolie, that had gads of explosions, battles, etc. And yet wasnt all that good."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

I watched BBM a few months ago. The surprising thing was that it had some of the best breasts that I have seen in a Hollywood movie (Anne Hathaway is HOT in this movie)
I'm about to get aroused from watching the pokemon and that's awesome. - Pekka

I really have to see this movie, as a polygayI will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

OK...I'll bite...is that an East German propaganda poster urging us to "kiss your comissar"?
And Year of Living Dangerously didn't have any explosions I can remember....BUT it did have something even better! A midget gets tossed out of a high-rise!! Tee-hee-hee...things that get you tossed from Film and Feminist Theory 010E...."Wait a minute..this isn''t FAUX dive, it's just a DIVE!"
"...Mangy dog staggering about, looking vainly for a place to die."
