Can I just say that between CTU and Homeland Security, the US domestic security forces portrayed in 24 may actually be WORSE than those protecting us IRL.

And BTW, WTF is up with Chloe NOT NOTICING the flashing electromagnetic device that erased the evidence???? Totally out of character. (Not that such a device would actually have blinking lights, but still...)

And why was this digital media NEVER DUPLICATED or saved? Does it really make sense that Robocop wouldn't protect himself better than that? Or that a HD dump wouldn't be the first thing that Chloe did?

The things Chloe does on that show are unbelievable

There is no hacker on the planet that can do the things that she does. They might be able to do them but not that fast.

Also, the CTU assault teams and their special agents are able to get to bascially whatever destination they want when they want it. On top of that, their amount of resources is unlimited and they instantly get them.

I'd say they are way better than any real life group could ever be

Jack is pretty much a one man army and Curtis and his team pretty much pwn whoever they want to at any time

Well at least this season it's a bit more realistic in terms of deployment of their resources since all the action is happening in LA or close by. And on every deployment we have to hear the traditional "we're XX minutes out"
insert either 5 or 20 into the sound bite depending on what gives the most suspense to the deadline that they have to be there.

The writers should try to be a little more aware of crossing the line from believable (which helps maintain the show's edge-of-seat tension) to laughable (like Alias).

I laughed at the episode of Alias where the chick and her parents lined up with machine guns and were gunning down baddies together. Cheeze at it's finest.
