    • Usually the team that is most dominant in the playoffs goes on to win the SB. Pittsburgh is sure staking their claim in that regard.

I really didn't think their defense was that good. Joey Porter is really stepping it up.

      • It'll be real strange if the #6 seed wins the Superbowl. Has it ever happened before?

        • I wouldnt say that the Steelers have been dominating. This was their first difficult game really. Their showing against the Bangles was horrible.

              They dominated the Colts.
Denver is showing signs of life, but it's a long uphill battle.

              • Over the past 3 weeks, the Steelers have now beaten the #3, #1, and #2 seeds in the AFC, all on the road.

                Pretty damned impressive.

                • The only scary team that the Steelers didn't eliminate was New England.

                  The refs eliminated them.

                    No.

New England was the closest in 1985, they were a #5 seed. They were however the lowest seed that year in the AFC.

We all know how that turned out.

                    ACK!

                        Carolina's D looks surprisingly bad.

Let's just say their offense looked like the 2006 Bears offense.

The Steelers are a very strange 6th seed. They lost two games when Tommy "I was the XFL MVP" Maddox was QB (when Roethlisberger and Batch were both injured). Maddox personally lost the Jags game (4 turnovers) and, as Maddox is no threat, allowed the Ravens to stack 10 in the box. The Steelers lost both of those games in OT. Had Roethlisberger been healthy all year the Steelers would almost certainly have gone 13-3 and been the 2nd or 3rd seed in the playoffs (possibly the 1st seed... I haven't broken down the Ws and Ls to see if the Colts would still have been the 1st seed had the Steelers beaten the Jags and Ravens)
