“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Um, a statement of "the majority of Arabs want to bleed every drop of Jewish blood and then piss on it" is now considered anti-Arab?

I think you're the ones who should get some kind of prize if you truely believe that. Might not be a very prestigious one, but hey, it's a prize.

I did, and I find it appalling.

Still doesn't make you look any wiser with the anti-Arab claim.

Right, because we know that Arabs are bad people.

Well, to non-bigots, making sweeping statements about other groups being bloodthirsty is generally considered offensive.

I apologize if this concept is difficult for you to understand.

Pointing out that the majority of Arabs want to eradicate the Jewish people is not an anti-Arab statement.

That's what I'm taking issue with. You people have lost your minds in the PC universe you've managed to immerse yourselves in.

What is appalling? Am I not just speaking the truth? Personally, I think, as an American, that we ought to declare Jerusalem an open city, occupy it, then draw a line in the sand between Israel and the rest of the world and then simply kill any Arab or Jew that crosses it.

Enforced peace. I am sick of the conflict.

So I guess it's Bibi vs Peretz now, with Shinui still alive?

Does Kadima's softer support come from Labor or Likud?
That's somewhat of a trick question. There is hardly any support for Kadima besides the support for Sharon. Personally, I think the power drop will be mind-boggling. I see the rise in strength of Likud, Labor, and Shunui, with Kadima falling steeply in polls.

Most of it's poll voters have previously voted for the Likud and Shinui parties, with the likud providing as much as half of all predicted seats. however, that old likud voting was also strongly based on the figure of Sharon.

So, what's up with Israel and the Jews?
Everytime things appear to become better something happens. First Rabin, now Sharon...........

Maybe it's time to write the 3rd testament, since the jewish history of the 20th and 21th century appears to become of biblical proportion. Imagine that Netanyahu becomes premier..........

By what standards are you saying better, though?
In terms of terrorism, there is less-but not because of any action on the part of Abbas, but rather the actions of the Israeli government. What Sharon has done isn't so mind blowing. He was just an average PM in many ways, just as Rabin was. Neither was (is) anywhere near as important as many newspapers make them out to be. The notion that Sharon was some "Man of Peace" (tm) ready to lead Israel and the Palestinians to a new dawn in relations is ridiculous. Netanyahu is (Shock! Horror!) very similar to Sharon in many ways. He probably won't unilaterally disengage from any settlements, true. But under the present circumstances, such withdrawals mean very little. And his attitude to Abbas isn't likely to be too different to Sharon's either (Arik hasn't rolled out the welcome mat, in case you haven't noticed).

                              Yikes. Everything is changed now.

Someone from Kadima has exactly 48 hours to become a leader if that party wants to have any chances at survival. Odds are that it will not happen and all the opportunists who left existing ideological parties for an amorphous conglomeration of interests are going to get screwed.

The elections will really turn into economical ones now. Sharon had an interest to focus on security messages since he has a powerful military background while Peretz has nothing significant.
Now we have both Peretz and Netanyahu who hold strong and opposite economic beliefs and it's definetely going to be a battle worth watching.

given how precarious the security situation remains, i find it difficult to beleive that there isnt a large body of Israeli votes who are more concerned about the security issue than the economic issue.
