Monsanto performed no independent tests as their tests were all performed in house or by experts hired by the company.

Monsantos then proceeded to sue him for dollars per acre for 'their' seed. Sort of like they get to 'tax' anyone who chooses not to deal with them in an area that they have customers in.
Incidently, he won. He didn't have to pay. Not even for court costs. And he lost. He had to destroy his seed that he spent 40 years developing.
Parliament is yet to be heard from, but they will, eventually...
