Who, me? I'm suggesting Heresson to start a blog because it has advantages over a forum thread:

- blog is not percieved as a "club" like forums are
- blog can attract more traffic
- it's does not oscillate on forum pages
- not dependant on forum availability (Apolyton was offline for a couple of days recently)
- it's easier to remember the blog title than the thread number
- blog has better search engine visibility (with some luck he could get high on "syria pictures" queries)
- blog can generate revenue for the owner and the process of setting up ads is quick and semiautomatic on www.blogger.com

It's up to him, though.
