Ah, and I have many more photos, just can't post them all, though I'd want to do it in Kozan's case. Perhaps I'll return there on my way to Anavarza.

I've made a couple of new trips, to Jordan, to Lebanon, and to several places in Syria. My computer is seriously malfunctioning, though, it works in 16 colours now only, and I can't restore the normal system, so chosing the pictures for the thread is hard. I only post now so the thread would not get deleted.

I've already visited Al-Marqab and You can see the pics on earlier pages. I haven't posted the pic of crusaders-drawn saints in the church

and there's also one specific reason. Several times a year, though I've only seen it once, winds take dust from desert and blow it far away up to the shores, painting the sky, and the rain, in orange. That's what's happened there. Suddenly everything turned orange and a great storm started.

I had to shelter in the gate. A very nice ticket guy helped us out of there later on.

The ancient city of Sergiopolis is one of the best things to visit in Syria. The city is almost as huge as Dura, but while it lacks the nice terrain shape and Euphrates, it offers much better preserved (for younger) ruins and more delicate beauty. There are several ruined churches, including the magnificent, well-preserved and huge basilica- samctuarium of St. Sergius. In several places You can see remains of drawings. Also, there are water reservuars and most of all impressing city walls with big towers and very very very nice city gate. There are also a lot of cool lizzards.
Once again, if You are in Syria, You have to visit it.
