    Wednesday is going to suck.

    LA @ Calgary...

    My goalie is Garon, dejon's is Kipper...and of course I want Calgary to win decisively.

      If you get a player or two in for offence, maybe, but the Flames just don't have that spark that it takes to win as they are.
      Calgary (4-0-1) is second only to Vancouver (4-0-0) and San Jose (6-0-0) in terms of winning games outside of the conference, and Calgary has a decisive winning record against Vancouver and San Jose.

      I know it pains you to see the Flames make it to the finals, but they've got a great shot at it. Vancouver and Edmonton don't unless they get real goalies.

        You're gonna have to crawl and scratch your way over in conference teams to get out of the conference.

        You don't get the easy meat, that you say they are, til the fourth and final series. Good luck getting there with the most aenimic offence in the league.

        Oh, and I'm not pretending the Oilers are Stanley Cup bound. It would be laughable if I did. If we get hit by lightning, I'll take it, but I am quite happy to watch some exciting hockey for a few years while we build. Would be nice to get there while Pronger is around. That should be the goal. Get a good goalie in, let the kids mature, and bring in maybe an offensive ringer.

        Stanley 2008 here we come!

              That was a pretty nice opening night for you, Asher. Kipper had to have an off-game at some point - I just hope he bounces back strong.

              Since I only had two skaters last night, I'm not panicking, but if my full lineup tonight doesn't start cranking it out, then I'll be concerned.

                Calgary has a pretty good divisional record, best in the NW (8-3-1).

                Vancouver is second to only Minnesota at 5-7-3.

                            YAYAYYAAY I GOT DISH NETWORK INSTALLED AND I HAVE THE NHL CENTER ICE PACKAGE

                            I watched part of the STL/PHX game

                            now I'm watching SJ/ANA game

                            the best part is, if I don't like the commentators, I can switch to the other team's broadcast!!!

                            it was nice to hear Darren Pang again! He's doing the Phoenix games I think.

                            Also, the local commercials are hilarious. It's like bizzaro world. I didn't realize that every market has the same stupid bankrupcy lawyer commercials (different people though).

                            Jack in the Box commercials. too bad there are none in the Midwest

                            WEEEEEEEE I AM SO HAPPY

                            I actually danced a jig when I turned the first game on!

                            To us, it is the BEAST.
