and they were lucky to win that other game... the one were the refs didn't call Simon for hooking when he scored the unassisted goal...

Calgary ended up winning by shootout 6-5 when they should've lost that one due to unfair penalty calling...

without a goalie like Kiprusoff saving their asses, Calgary would be at the bottom of the NHL with the likes of St. Louis, Florida, Washington and Pittsburgh

There were no calls and bad calls both ways. It was a terribly reffed game, you'll see examples that go the other way that I mentioned in this thread as the game progressed, which gave way to a Vancouver PP and then a Vancouver goal.

That's bull**** and anyone who knows anything about hockey knows it.

Tonight Kipper didn't play, Sauve had a 90% svp. I know you're keeping track -- this is better than Kipper has played over the past 4 games.

We lost tonight because the team was exhausted after the tough game last night vs Vancouver, flying home, then playing a well-rested team.

I'm still not even sure what your point is. Calgary plays a defensive game, that's just how it is. When the defense breaks down, like it did tonight and in the couple games with lots of scoring, we tend to lose. Kipper is a great goalie, but he's not the only reason Calgary is winning. With only 17 shots against us last night, Sauve likely would have won that game too.

Even then, who cares? Kipper is a member of the team. He wasn't even an unrestricted free agent that we pay an assload of money to (like Detroit and Toronto of old), he was a no-name goalie that Sutter knew had great potential, and he worked with him to get him ready as an NHL starter. He's part of the team, and he cares about the team enough to not go to the Olympics for it. Stop your whining and realize that it's a team effort that wins games, not Kipper.
