There is a lot of support for a team in Houston. Usually whenever there is some large soccer event in the Astrodome it sells out pretty easily. There are enough fans to sustain a team pretty easily.

Whether they sell out soccer matches doesn't mean they'll sell out MLS games
. There tends to be somewhat of a gap between regular soccer fans and MLS fans. Houston will probably need to reach out to the Hispanic fans, which I believe, is not something that FC Dallas has done particularly well.
