Markham isn't bad if you want to get to Toronto. There's a 24hour Yonge Street bus that takes you to the TTC, it's like a 15 minute busride.
Plus your car insurance is way less, crime is way less, and there's far more computer stores.

I've never been to Toronto. Is it your typical boring Midwest town with a high standard of living? Or does it have more of a New York feeling?I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. To answer your question, Toronto is not at all like a typical midwestern American town. It's heavily multicultural, and is the focus for economic and financial life in Canada. It's not really New York, but neither is it Detroit or Chicago.Originally posted by DanS
