What's "the sanctity of the human consciousness", anyway? Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Heheh
Wondering what the movie "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" is all about (within the context of Narnia, and the overall theme of what is happening) is like only watching the movie "The Return of the King" (and not seeing the other previous two movies) and wondering what the heck is going on....
Remember, that the LW&W is merely the first movie (and book) of seven books and movies that will tell us about the world of Narnia, and will collectively answer most questions. Each book and movie will fill in more and more pieces of the puzzle...
The LW&W merely primes us for what is coming next - the next six movies. The riddles and questions within the first movie will be slowly explained and revealed in each subsequent movie.
Just as the LoTR was made into a three-movie explanation of Middle-earth. So the Chronicles of Narnia is going to be made into a seven-movie exploration of the mythical world of Narnia....

As a companion dvd to the LoTR movie trilogy, I would recommend the Director's Cut of the movie "Legend" by Ridley Scott.
The movie was made in the 1980s and some of the makup for some of the characters looks dated and doesn't stand up to the make-up in the LoTR.
However, the movie is beautifully filmed, Tim Curry's performance as the Lord of Darkness is superb (it should not be missed), and the "Dark Dance of Seduction" is both beautiful and terrifying at the same time (it was truly an inspired bit of film making). Never has a dance in movie history been filled with so much foreboding...Last edited by BillyBud; December 19, 2005, 14:14.

""Legend" by Ridley Scott"
Kidst thou??
Do you mean the same Legend with Tom "$cientology" Cruise?
The same movie with the deep-voiced incredibly creepy kid prancing around in a loincloth?
Gnomes and Pixies?
It is 80s B grade."Wait a minute..this isn''t FAUX dive, it's just a DIVE!"
"...Mangy dog staggering about, looking vainly for a place to die."
"sauna stories? There are no 'sauna stories'.. I mean.. sauna is sauna. You do by the laws of sauna." -P.

Yes, but NOT the US theatrical release version - which I didn't like.
Watch the Director's Cut which was shown in European theatres.
The Director's Cut adds 24 minutes to the movie.
Remember, I stated the movie is worth watching for Tim Curry's performance and for a few other scenes.
To me, the movie is an allegory for the Garden of Eden (innocence lost)...
I also never judge an actor in a movie by his/her personal religion or politics...
