Yeah, I remember reading through parts of kid's long threads about his woes.

Great to read that the worst may finally be over!

Oh yeah, I dont know your situation but I hope you and the Mrs reconcile. From my experience it isnt tough to kick a meth habit, you just gotta get away from it for 2-3 weeks. Well, I dont know, I had no problem when I stopped using it. But I have to imagine the stuff is out of the system by then.

I'm actually doing fairly well, although sometimes I'm not sure how I'll get both of us to school the next day. Next month I'll get my own place, and the bus is working out well. Things are working out.

Oh and experts say that it takes 9 months for the intense cravings to stop. Maybe you are superman or something.

                          Mercantor,

I sure talk to him about it, but I try not to dwell on it. He wants to play and have a happy childhood. He doesn't want to dwell on it too much. Either do I, but it's harder for adults. Kids are resilient.

                          Everyone,

Thanks again. It makes me feel good to see you all happy for me and my son.

                              Well there's plenty of jobs.

I know he misses his mom. He's not happy about her being a drug addict either. But he's still able to enjoy life, and that's important. My point was that sometimes adults live in the past too much and can't adapt.

His past could be damaging to him in his adult life, and he'll need to recover from it, but it's important to have a happy childhood for the rest of it. I'm no child psychologist, but I have done lots of ready and listening.

Well, he probably wouldn't want to talk about it too much, because he doesn't want to say anything to upset you, nor does he want to take sides.
