  • wrt Harrison he also gave Chesney a friendly Glasgow kiss during a 'discussion' the pair had.

It produced the most delayed refs warning I have ever seen - two minutes later after the ref saw it played back on the big screen he warned both players to cool it.

Moving north has not calmed Justin down much?

Turn it up. It's his first effort this season as far as I know. At least the first time he's been caught.

      • The Ospreys MD has claimed the club are already preparing the defence of the two players and are not worried. Meanwhile he says Tigers should be ashamed because our forwards coach let loose a verbal volley at Lyn 'whiny' Jones after the final whistle and "kids in the crowd could hear it".

Thats surprised me - because I thought the kids might have also heard certain anglo saxon words the welsh crowd had been using throughout the game.

Nobody loses like the Welsh - even the Aussies are more gracious at times.

          • ah yes the English are fine - as long as they are winning

I didnt see the second game against Leicster, but surprisingly what i read on the bbc sport page said that the welsh side were stronger in the forwards display? that cant be right can it?(no sarcasm)

Actually that is far more true of the French fans in my experience – great company if they win but my word the sulk if they do not. Most English fans will have a beer and banter with the oppo come what may. I will admit the fan demographic has changed since November 2003 – there is a soccer element now following the game that is not at all welcome to me – but the majority are still decent rugger buggers.

It brings it to more sweeping generalisations I guess but the majority of English rugger fans are far more stoical about defeat than your average taff in my experience. Perhaps it is because soccer is so s**** in Wales that the soccer demographic has always followed rugby anyway.

Witness what is happening with Ospreys fans right now – invading the Tigers message board and littering their own board with nonsense such as “I hope all Tigers injuries are long term”.

Nice healthy bans for the Orange media tart and the young lock and the scales will be balanced.

Henson has to learn to both keep his temper in check and his mouth closed – he is doing welsh rugby no favours right now I can assure you. The panel sits on Friday (one Irish and two Scots I think – his best hope being Celtic brotherhood?). I hope they are in lynch mob mode.

but surprisingly what I read on the bbc sport page said that the welsh side were stronger in the forwards display
The BBC WALES reporter said they were stronger. They did okay against a terrible Tigers showing – mainly the Ospreys set out to ‘go the biff’ as Finbars countrymen would say – it worked well in the game with two yellows to Tigers for killing ball whilst the taffs scored a broken nose and ruptured ACL without a single card received. Fortunately the citing official was awake.

I just noticed how well England is doing in Pakistan.
              Yes most gracious.

Messed the tour up from start to finish. Did you hear the entire squad stayed up to 3am to see Freddie given Sports Personality of the Year when they had a one dayer starting at 11am that day? Freddie got a duck and the side got stuffed.

The team stand accused of getting much too carried away with their own hype and the media attention.

                    • Isn't he too busy trying to repopulate France?

Ospreys got stuffed at home by Cardiff last night. Orange Muppet and the young kick boxing lock both played what may well be their last games for some time - disciplinary panel reviews their citings later today.

Well I simply cant be bothered with work after today - I think I'm going to take a fortnight off and empty my beer fridge.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all.

Now - have I got the courage to tell the Henson joke about spending Xmas in Church?

                        • The Panel consisted of two Scots and an Irishman (lest any welshmen felt there was bias).

The young lock was banned for 58 days, Henson for 72. It rules Henson out of the first three 6N games including the opener against England.

I really hope this wakes him up and makes him concentrate on his rugby - but I fear a 6N full of "we would have won if I played" quotes from the young ego maniac.

Given the bullish quotes from Ospreys camp about 'innocence' I hope the club too can come clean and admit these lads did wrong - but it's a forlorn hope I guess.

And that is me done for 2005 so once again Happy Holiday season to all.

                              • Thats a weird result? I know we all know think of rugby as a team game(as that is what it is), but something definately went missing when Martin Johnson retired(from the england game also). The tigers have been lucky in some respects - they had that big monster 'Deano' before having the big monster martin johnson, both players seemed to be the gell that stuck all the other parts in place?

Bristol? since when have they been any good?(i might have missed something ).

In other rugby news the other Johno(lumu) scored a try in his first proper game back from injury. I think thats quite a scalp Cardiff have secured, and ok he may take a while getting back to his best - but the big crowd at that match might have a fair bit to do with him playing?

good to see him back, particularily after all the problems he's had.
