It's a lot easier naming those that are not open on Sunday: Chick-fil-A, and one or two others that nobody goes to.
You mean like stores that arent chains?

Naw, all the local stores are open too. I just wanted to name names y'all recognize... I mean, it would sound silly if I rebutted with

I think it's a good idea actually, which is odd for me. I think there should be some statutory limit to working hours a week, though I dont really care if people want to work on sundays, or 7 days a week, but some people are workaholics are could just work themselves to death so to speak. It hurts families, the individual, and the economy in terms of days and healthcare resources lost to stress and related conditions. The law needs to protect them imo.

JohnT, the key question is whether the Katch is open on Sunday.

No thanks. People who make laws to protect others from themselves from "working hard" ... well, that's pretty ****in' pathetic.

I support the idea of a limitation on maximum number of working hours a week, though that doesn't mean stores and such can't open on Sundays.

The US has long been 24-7, depending on what industry you're in and the inclination of the owners and the workers. I've worked Sundays for much of my life. I don't know if it will work in every country, but I think it suits us.

It was a shock to me to go to Germany and see the government regulating this. Seemed pretty pointless.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

i would support a ban or me working on sundays, because after a saturday night on the razzle, there's just no need...

and yeah john t people should be allowed to work as long as they want, as long as they're not forced to work stupid amounts of hours of course.
