Oh, quick anthropology question. Have humans always masturbated? I mean did they in prehistroric times? Or is it a new development? And why have religions always opposed it? Maybe there is something to be said about self-indulgent practices like that. Maybe they should be avoided.

masturbating to girls you know is totally healthy. Everyone does it. Except you. Start doing it.

Man, therapist would say the same to you. THey would also say that you should masturbate, I'm not saying you should become like serial masturbator but at least try it couple of times, like I said, it's heatlhy and unhealthy thing would be letting it all build inside.

This is why you are so sensitive to woman touch. Don't take it as a bad thing, it's a good thing. You'll prolly enjoy more intimate touch ^200 because of this. But you can de-sensitize by masturbating.

The only reason you should see a therapist is to get over the thought that it's filthy and somehow creepy and dirty. It's not dirty at all. It's good fun, and if you pleasure yourself sexually, that's getting in touch with your own sexuality, clearly something you haven't yet done! It's NATURAL, and I would say this might be the only problem you are facing right now.

It's kinda hard to know if it was around in prehistoric times, but there's no reason to think it was not. (Incidentally, masturbation is by no means a human-specific behaviour.)

I have one freind who did not masturbate until after sex (which he first engaged in in his mid 20s)

but he had lots of girlfreinds

I think the statistic is 90% of guys and 50% of girls masturbate. I heard this stat in the early 90s, so it's probably changed since then. Nothing unhealthy about masturbation at all. If you're worried about obsessing over a particular girl while j/o, look at a Victoria's Secret catalog or something.

And plenty of people still fit masturbation into a regular sex life. I think married, sexually active couples masturbate a little more often than singles (another stat I read).

It won't make you go blind, make you creepy, or condemn you to Hell. It can become habitual, or a crutch, but so can anything. In the end though, masturbating is probably a lot healthier for you than worrying about whether or not you should masturbate and if it'll make you creepy.

AT the risk of being called a girl I must say what i see here. I see a very shy young man that has no way to really communicate with a person of the oppiste sex in a comfortable way. If only for the risk of getting embarrased. It is way esaier to sit on the sidelines then to play the game. The Not liking of the mother is probably a experience he has with the mother talikng bout girls as a bad influence etc. Or could be just that the mother has been to heavily into living the sons life. Looking at porn is a natural respones to both male and females. The type of porn suggest what you are fantisizing about. All in all for me this person is feeling the lack of social skills to associate with the opposite sex for fear of embarassament and or rejection, which is a normal felling but needs to be addressed with the help of a social worker or what have you.

while I look at porn almost daily, I don't think that it is neccesary, or definitely healthy (the stuff that is more 'hardcore' is the stuff that is more likely to modify your designs from normal) (hentai is generally really really perverted)

my freind who didn't masturbate until late, still does not look at 'porn' regularly (by porn I mean more hardcore stuff)

besides the fact that less girls do it..

a number of those that do it is a rarish thing

for most guys (who aren't dating) it is daily... (or more)

and even those who are dating, perhaps the majority engage in it daily

Jm i dont think this is true, more woman do it then youd believe. And I must say from the girls that i have worked with it is mostly due to the fact that the guy they are dating or married to cannot finish the job for them. The guy is worth keping but at the risk of living life orgasm free they choose to induce their own. Nothing wrong with it at all. A lot of men cannot bring their girl to that point doesnt mean he has failed but rather the couple needs to explore other avenues to reach that point.
Fantaises are part of the sexual drive for couples. If you have a partner willing to fantasize with ya great. If ya dont, it doesnt make you a heathen if you fantasize on your own.
Now wanting to Act these out on an un willing partner might be cause for concern.

I don't know as many girls in long term relationships as well..

I hvae heard female freinds talk about masturbation.. but from the sound of things it was a rare occurence
