I was at a loss at 12 because Austronaut had just lost its appeal.

I was sure I would be a lawyer, but that is looking more and more unlikely.

I thought I would have an engineering degree and would be toiling away for a thankless employeer only to go home to a world of debt... and that is what happened. Though I also wanted to have had a book published by now, but seeing as I haven't written anything yet that would be pretty tough.

What I didn't think I would have is a pretty interesting career and career future, a loving wife, and a beautiful daughter

I am (roughly) where I thought I would be, a scientist. Not all it's cracked up to be, however...

I'm doing my Master's so everything going to plan on that side I guess.
On the more personal side, I also thought I wouldnt be living at my parents, and although I did leave them for 4 years, now I'm back.
                  Doesn't really bother me though.

I thought I would sit in front of my computer with one of those virtual reality helmets playing multiplayer games with awesome graphics. Everybody would do it and scoff at how we used to play games with a mouse and keyboard.

If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

I had Big Plans at the age of 12. They all went to hell around the time I turned 14.

I didn't have any very specific ideas where I'd end up when i was twelve.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
