The Republican Right holds ALL the cards, and they STILL wail and gnash teeth about the machinations of the (completely out of power) "organized left."

Right now, "the left," such as it is, couldn't organize its way out of a paper bag, but that doesn't stop the 'pugs from continuing to cast blame for all their failings in the general direction of the left.

Here's a heartening though...maybe one day the general public will decide they've had enough and put them back on the lunatic fringe where they belong.

If you think nothing changed about you, you are smoking dope. One does not become moderate conservative and turn into a quasi-socialist without a change in their beliefs. If there is no change in their beliefs and the spectrum changes around them, at most they become moderate liberals.

the ordinary fundies are concerned about the direction of the culture, from legal abortion, to porn, to all kinds of other stuff. That the GOP gets all the good congressional committe staff jobs, or has is able to punish Dem lobbyist firms on K Street, doesnt really mean much to them. Meanwhile Roe v Wade is still the law of the land, etc, etc.
