Over 70% russian export is minerals and metal, plus about 5% is unprocessed forest. I was surprised you sold about 7% of machinery - although I guess you DO make some decent and cheap heavy machinery.

Try looking at your local university solid state physics lab, smartazz.

Does this lab worth more than nuclear powerplants we build in China?

Bah... considering current oil prices, is that really so surprising?
Btw, do Yankees still consider our steel export as threat to US security?
If so, it's not so bad.
plus about 5% is unprocessed forest.
By unprocessed forest, do you mean timber, lumber, pulp and paper?

                Good.
You asked what we can make, I've mentioned (from my memory) a few areas where we hold pretty good if not leading positions. And you didn't mention the share of arms shippments in our export structure, I guess it's low in comparison with oil, but still we are world's second arms dealer after USA.
Are you happy now? The fact that currently we make sh!tloads of money selling oil doesn't mean we can't produce anything else.

Well you can produce a lot of things, cars, stereo systems, there should be some Russian company making even computers and DVD players, somewhere; the problem is that no one wants to BUY them

My export structure data is from 2003; commodity prices today are much higher.

I doubt they grew with the same rate as oil prices.

I bet pretty soon most of PC keyboards all around the world would have a Russian design.

Russian keyboard Optimus (currently it costs 400 USD, IIRC). Cool isn't it?

Yes it's a nice kb indeed.. e.g. if you play a game (quake):

It uses OLEDs to print what each button does.
                                The price ofc is ridiculous
