        You want to become fit, play Civ standing up. Alternate between standing on only your left leg, and then your right. Use one hand to hold the monitor an inch off the desk. Alternatively, put your computer on a wheeled cart and take it on walks while you play. The added weight of the generator will help with muscle gain, while the task of gaining global supremacy, along with the burden of keeping your computer from falling, will increase your mental prowess.

            Sounds like the exercise regime for me

                I'd say explore some kind of meditation. It'll help focus your mind.

                As for the weight lifting thing, If you do cardio like running, I'd say do some bench presses and squats as well. It all depends on what you want, if you just wanna lose pounds, I'd say do the running more and bench less.

                Regardless though, once you start weightlifting your testosterone will rise.

                  Aren't there any trainers at your gym? Tell them what you want and they'll tell you what to do and how to do it properly.

                            If you start doing weights, you need to make sure you work all muscle groups.

                            Start with a full body-workout of around 12 - 15 sets .

                            An example could be:

                            4 sets of Leg Press
                            2 sets of Incline Dumbell press
                            2 sets of Pull-ups (assisted if needed)
                            2 sets of Dips
                            2 sets of bent-oer Dumbell Row

                            This will work legs, back and chest. Don't go doing isolation exercises like bicep curls straight away. They are next to pointless when compared to some the exercises that you can go heavier with.
