See above.They way you guys put it is that the folks are throwing life lines to a dog before the human.
Space and resources being unlimited - sure. Both have limits so the humans come 1st.My thoughts if the dog is found first and the human located second attempts should be made to save both the human first then the pet.
I don't have a problem per se with people staying behind to be with their pets. It is an irrational choice but I'd let them make it. That said, I would not come by a second time to rescue these folks.

Reds, Snotty, that's all well and good for you. But I say again, if you want to evac with them, you should pay for it, not government funds.
I would if I could afford it. If I couldnt afford it, and my dog got refused transit with me, I dont know, but Im pretty sure I would take the risk and stay rather than abandon my dog. Thats the governments choice, the rescue expense is whats truly replaceable, not me and my pet.
Anyway, its got to be a drop in the ocean to provide for pet rescue as well. its probably more economically viable to rescue everything that could die, the stray pets are only going to end up polluting the place with their corpses otherwiseSafer worlds through superior firepowerComment
