I have a question for you americans, do people actually eat those "Pop-tarts" as breakfast? I tried a few different flavours when my sister came home from the states eight or something years ago.
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

While building muscle increases ones wiehgt initially, the more muscle you have , the higher your metabolism is, and therefore you will burn more calories as you go about your day, period. So in the end moderate weight-lifting is excellent for someone looking to lose weight and maintain it off long-term.

I agree with the notion that you should eat more for breakfast- some complex grains are good-oatmeal is a fine suggestion, a bowl of raisin bran or some other whole grain is great too.

As for getting a bit less energetic in the mid-afternoon, this is very common, in fact I think this happens to almost everyone. Maybe you could move your lunch hour a bit back, and between your breakfast and lunch eat a snack to tie you over.

One thing, Maybe spiffor is using different terms, but processed foods are chuck full of simple, not complex, sugars like fructose. Complex carbohydrates are things like cellulose and starch, long chains that take time to digest, vs. just taking in straight monosacherides like glucose.

I would eat whole grains for lunch. You will digest and absorb them slowly over the course of the afternoon and you should not feel a slump.

But what do I do if I'm already a bit tired in the morning? Go to the doc and have them look at my blood pressure?

search yahoo images for "reacharound" and "teabag" with no filtering

Weird ones. Ever lit up an empty teabag? Try it, you can even do it on your mom's valued carpet.
