CNN just said that someone drove by the crowd at the superdome (i think...might've been astrodome) and started firing at the crowd.

Also, they said that some of the prisoners have gotten guns at the prison facility.

Man, it's like anarchy there.

The state needs to take control of the horrible situation over there, using deadly force if neccesary.

Then the state needs to contemplate very thoroughly how it is possible that a state of ruthless anarchy can emergy from a tragedy like this.

I'm very sorry to say, but the performance of the US goverment, be it state or federal, is an appaling thing to witness, and it is NOT a very good example it sets.

If this is the kind of democracy and freedom that needs to be spread globally, please spare me from it.

It says there have been cases of someone playing snipers, targetting patients, nurses and hospital staff, there have been gunmen, looters, turned boat back, used for medical evacuations. And this is just from few fronts.

Now, if this **** is truly going on like this, I see no reason at all to see any mercy but drop a bomb on their ass. These people are basically not just stealing few DVDs, but actually looting and threatning and blocking medical evacuations for kicks and thrills and some for looting. SOme are out there just to shoot and kill.

I say it's time for every single one of these cases to be found with a bullet in their necks. No need for courts now. This is emergency time, so democracy has to be in the backseat for a while. Security is now more important and that recue missions can be done. Success of the rescue missions heavily depend from no one trying to deliberately sabotage them, meaning you have to kill these people. There is no nice way to put it. More lives will be saved when these criminals are shot on sight. I don't personally care, the people who use situation like this to their benefit and cause more misery right now are going to hell anyway, the worst crimes you can do is right now. It sound srough but I would be ready to personally order all cops and military to shoot these people on sight if verification is 100%. And give medal to every decent kill maker.

To put it in short, these people need to die in order for more people, GOOD people to live! THe choice is not that difficult.

Any time other than this I would say find another way through for the rescuers, or peacefully figure out something to do with the attackers

Martial law is in place, and the military should do whatever it deems necessary to fulfill its obligations and responsibilities.

If there is a god, every single son of a ***** looting jewelry or hindering/attacking those personnel trying to carry out SAR or provide other emergency services, would drown in the water after being attacked by alligators and snakes.

There are methods for dealing with circumstances like this, and they're generally more along the lines of tear gas and rubber bullets, not machine guns. Knowing that soldiers/police men are shooting people is not exactly going to make them more eager to stick around and meet with relief personel.
There is a happy (err..) medium here that involves a certain amount of force to restore order and impress upon people that shooting at rescue or police forces is not a good idea, but shooting to kill doesn't really make the relief efforts run any smoother.
