Hurricane Kathrina has driven the cost of gasoline up by about 16% throughout the country, even Columbia, SC so one wonders if the folks writing the letter believed that they were worthy of punishing too?

Also I wonder if we'll be getting a similar statement from Osama bin Laden or al-Jazeera?

No, no no. What God really hates is shrimp. It's in Leviticus, people. He will keep punishing the Gulf Coast until the evils of shrimp etouffee are all washed away.

                - Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... That's, that's about it.

                  Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

                  Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

I personally think the Gospel omitted to state that it's ok if thou don't look too closely, or when thou be really in the mood for good shrimp.

And, obviously, as Leviticus and Deuteronomy both make clear, God hates crawdads, too. New Orleans never had a chance...

Unless, of course, it's that God hates drunken women flashing their boobies. But, then, would He actually be God?

                        well...

global warming is supported by scientific evidence...

I hope you see the difference.

And I really HOPE you don't equate the two.
Global warming has different meanings for different people, alot of these people on the left who dont research climate think we are responsible for warmer weather while the scientists accept global warming as a natural phenomonen occuring in cycles which human life probably affects but to what degree is unknown.

I'm thinking it's really the crawdads. Lots of other places have shrimp.

btw, I remember the news outlets and speculations about how many died in 9/11. The projections were up to 50,000. So hopefully the death toll in NO & the gulf coast will be much lower.
