    Can we not speculate about how many people are going to die and just hope for the best?

    Firstly the storm has been downgraded to category 4 and it seems its path has shifted slightly east which would put the weaker side of the hurricane over New Orleans...
    Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

        1/12th of the Superdome's roof has been ripped off. It is leaking, and they're fearing for more of the roof.

        Dis: The west did dissipate, but its the east that is always the worst part of any hurricane.

        Winds still at 135 mph.

          Only time will tell... hopefully it won't be as bad as originally predicted... and so far, it doesn't look like the "worst"

            Reports of total structural failure all over New Orleans.

            They're considering evacuating the Superdome (wtf?)

                            Some of the buildings weren't designed for this kind of weather in mind, so it's possible some may partially collapse (eg, like the roof of the Superdome) or maybe worse.

                                From wind, not from planes flying into it. Just seems a bit tasteless to drag 9/11 into it when it's got bugger all to do with it. It's more your post history though that made me assume the worst possible intentions (on a empathic plane).
