That said , I wouldn't mind being on a jury sometime. Its part of a process I like to believe in. The thing is that I have heard that most lawyers hate the idea of a lawyer on a jury

I've been called up three times and served twice. One of the guys in my last jury had been called up 7 times.

Unless the card actually sez "show up for duty" you shouldn't worry about it. I've gotten the "call after 5 pm" card 3 times and they never called up my group number.
