I believe 5'10" is taller than average for women... American ones anyway. I'd say the average is 5'7" to 5'8" although in San Fernando Valley it's more of 5'5"

I don't see why it would be an issue for anyone, to have someone taller than they.Being too tall for me isn't an issue since I'm at 6'0".
