    Oh no that´s impossible
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Spousal abuse and homosexuality are so different it is completely laughable that they are being discussed in the same thread.

abusers can be male, female Gay or straight.
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

let me tell you from experience..
          its nothing about sexual gender.
and its everything about control and power.
has nothing to do with being female or male
because there are abusers from both genders.
          Indeed it is.
It's often with the man threatened in his power, call it lack of confedence or low self esteem if you will.

And yes, I know about it, seen more than enough of it, enough to last several life times (dammit, what's the expression again?).
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Well, most hairdressers and fashion designers are gay...

What do you think? Am I wrong here, or is there a pattern in it?

....not that I believe in that funny article... I just always wondered...

the proper word for "hairdresser"... cosmetologist.
anyway there were some gay and lesbian students
but certainly not everyone. and not all of them were
the best of the class.. its yet another stupid stereo type.

Anyone who agrees with FotF isn't just a homophobe but blatantly sexist as well.

It doesn't shock me really. There are a lot of people out there that just want to "seem normal" or "fit in". So a LOT of people end up in professions that are more stereotypically associated with their gender.

Since a homosexual person that is "out" to the world has already gone against traditional sterotypes in a big way, they are freer to choose any career they want.

There are probably proportionally just as many gay construction workers, probably just fewer that are comfortable being open about it.

                              • Oh and can we forget about the wife-beater sidetrack?

It was a comment by me, but an aside . I still do believe that a man without some good male role models is more likely to exhibit that behavior than one without them but I have nothing to back that up. I do agree that the most likely beater is someone that has experienced it and lived it themselves. I believe there is truckloads of evidence on this cycle of violence.
