  • Fitzgerald did pretty good last year and they haven't even had a regular season game... so if you are basing it on preseason, I wouldn't say, don't.

    • That's why everyone jumped on him in the draft.

I ended up drafting him, and I already had Boldin.

The O-line doesn't look good, which means there is a real risk that Warner will get injured during the season.

      • Fitzy was a sleeper. If you hadn't gotten him, I certainly would have.

And it doesn't matter if Warner gets injured. With the backup, Fitzgerland had almost 60 catches last year.

        • Let's not get into the sleeper crap. We'll just have to see. I didn't like having both Boldin and Fitzgerald on my team. Too much risk.

          • I'm just saying you didn't have to deal Tomlinson to get rid of Fitzgerald for another receiver of value.

            • It looks, at the moment, that letting Priest fall to you in the draft was a mistake. But I just don't trust him to play 16 games. We'll see.

I'm miffed that you took Deuce one pick before I could get him, too. And you did the same for Gonzo.

In terms of reception yardage, who was the top WR this week?

/me points and laughs at Kid.

                • Tomlinson didn't look like the #1 stud either. It just goes to show that 1 day doesn't necessarily reflect on the season.

                  • Oh, ****.

Updating previous reports, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports it appears WR Javon Walker (knee) suffered a torn ACL Sunday, Sept. 11, when he went down in the third quarter of the team's game against the Detroit Lions. Head coach Mike Sherman said, from what he understands, it is an ACL injury. However, the team is not going to make a determination on his status until he undergoes an MRI Monday, Sept. 12. Sherman went on to note that he doubts Walker will be able to return "anytime in the near future." When Sherman was asked if the injury was likely season ending, he replied: "Most of the time."
Just what I needed... my #1 WR done for the year. ****!

Anybody need a good backup QB for a WR?

                    • You're recievers still look better than your QBs.

Yeah, I think Fitzgerald is really going to put up some good numbers this year. He's got great talent.

                        • So... who's in need of a decent RB? I can trade one of the following guys for a quality WR:

Willis McGahee, Rudi Johnson, LaMont Jordan, or Larry Johnson.

Make me an offer I cannot refuse

Andre & Deion would make a decent top 2... but I need more than just Rod Smith backing them up, and McNair's the only bargaining chip I really have to use...

                            • I'm still hurting for another reciever too. Of course I might need another RB too, looking at how the Vikes did today. Maybe Ronnie Brown will pay off after all.

Warner got a lot of pressure too. The questions are 1) how long is Warner going to last, and 2) is Fitzgerald going to get the lion share every week?
