You are right, Dan, they are staying behind to stage a revolution.

Does that make you feel better?

I'm still waiting for Ted Striker to follow through on his promise to emigrate from the US...

Ha ha. If only the reasons were that dramatic.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Attaining citizenship in Canada can be exceedingly difficult; they tend to heavily those who are college educated and ages 25-49. Mine is pending...

I suspect that with Bush's abysmal approval ratings, some of us have changed our minds and are engaging in a little schadenfreude while he hangs himself with the short rope he's been given.
"Perhaps a new spirit is rising among us. If it is, let us trace its movements and pray that our own inner being may be sensitive to its guidance, for we are deeply in need of a new way beyond the darkness that seems so close around us." --MLK Jr.

Surprisingly, those approval ratings haven't impacted Bush negatively. So far, he has been comparatively very effective for a second term president.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

He had these kind of approval ratings all last year. He didn't have a single positive news day either. However, the Bush-haters still gave up electoral ground to Bush.

I don't know for sure why the Bush-haters are failures. History wasn't on Bush's side the last 3 election cycles and it sure isn't now.

The Russian girl isn't exactly good looking but how the hell could she wed that beast? I'd vomit if I ever had to get in the same bed as him.

If Canada had San Diego's climate I'd have moved there long ago. But I have been thinking about Aruba lately
