Sure the linemen are a bit on the large size (not just in the belly), but we're talking about guys that can bench press 600+ lbs. ...and there is no way that anyone could call the players in the "skill" positions out of shape (ie many of the wide outs in the NFL are world class sprinters).

I'll give you the fans comment though

Move goal line back two feet: good

Allow two-line pass (elimination of red line): very good

Blue lines move four feet towards center ice: very good. **** the trap

Tag-up offsides: fine. not that big a deal, in my opinion

Goalies can only puckhandle in trapezoid behind net: crap. goalies should be fair game outside crease, but have all the privileges of a skater

Shootouts: **** you, *******s. shootouts aren't hockey. 1000 X

Smaller goalie pads: goalie pads are not overly large as is. goalies are just really good. Time to up the ante on the skaters' abilities.

Crackdown on obstruction. Meh. Obstruction is already badly defined. How the **** are you going to crack down on something so subjective (as it stands now)

No line change for a team that ices the puck: good idea. Now make it automatic icing unless there's a breakaway.

Defensemen will get a delay of game penalty for shooting the puck over the boards: depends. got to be careful about non-deliberate shots over the boards

Instigation: **** instigation. **** it, **** it **** it. teams need to be able to protect their stars from the dirty **** that some players pull. it's a physical game with a lot of room for bull****, and if there needs to be a fight to settle things then so be it.

My comments on the rule changes are about the same as KH. Except I like the smaller goalie pads. Make em like they were 20 years ago!
