Not atrocious at all. We can understand what you mean, and the errors are either colloquialisms or typos. It clearly sounds that you aren't a native, but it's also clear that you have a pretty solid education in French"A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. Je pense que le "DVD", c'est un nouveau vie pour etudier une langue etrangere. N'est pas? Mais quand M. Vader dit "l'empereur" je pense seulement de Napoleon Bonaparte.
c'est un nouveau vie -> c'est une nouvelle vie, butI don't get what it means. It's a new way, a totally new way of learning? We'd say "c'est une revolution". ne nouvelle vie (a new life) doesn't make sense in French here.
N'est pas? -> N'est-ce pas? Actually, skipping all "isn't it" and translating them by nothing will often dwork well
Je pense seulement de -> not "de" but "a".Clash of Civilization team member

yup, should have been n'est ce pas. Its just a phrase that comes easily to my tongue (even in english) but i dont write it much."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

Good
Most of my friends would have made more grammar errors than you (granted they have never made any effort for grammar, but still )masc/fem I mostly get, but the rules about the accords, especially the obscure ones, I have forgotten, along with some conjugaison of certain verb tenses and also their utilization and when to use them.

you know its funny, I found this site where they have swiss french - french translation, and I didnt notice until now, but I use a lot of swiss french words and pronounciations (especially pronounciations), even though I learned french in school in the US.
and the french teachers would always mark me off for it.
interesting if you guys are into linguistics."Everything for the State, nothing against the State, nothing outside the State" - Benito Mussolini
