I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

you celebrate the 4th of july in denmark?
Yes.
As I've repeatedly posted here, Denmark is home to the largest Independence Day celebration outside the United States. Every year, tens of thousands of people gather at Rebild in Northern Jutland for a huge open air celebration, with music, dancing, entertainment and speeches by prominent Danes and Americans.
The ones who attend are predominantly emigrants living in the States, their descendants and others with a strong connection to the U.S. But a lot of "ordinary" Danes, as well as Americans who happen to be in the area parttake also. I've never been, since it's a bit out of the way for me, but I'd certainly like to.
This will be a first for me to celebrate it in the US.
Scouse Git (2)La Fayette Adam SmithSolomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

That's really weird and slightly disturbing.
It's like your entire nation is stalking us or something...
You find it weird and disturbing that people want to strengthen the bonds across the Atlantic, between their new home and the old country? FYI, it's been in place since 1912.
