Don't know. However, Beltran crashed today and is out. This might hurt in Pyrennees.

Yes. They drained his knee and it just swelled back up again.

Mengin tried, but ultimately failed to win in his home town this year. He was sooooo close.

valverde dropped out today, david moncoucou didnt finish with the peloton. armstrong still on top. tomorrow they go into the pyrennees. moreau will crack, rasmussen might also im not sure about him. the two large peaks at the end mean that rasumssen cannot go on long breakaways ahead of the pack and scale the mountains by himself - the flats will mean US postal is in charge, and when they get to the first big hill, it will be only the big boys left, with no chance of attacking - armstrong, hincapie, azevedo, and rubiera, with basso and ullrich for the first kilometer of so up the hill until he too cracks.

Rasmussen has the best power to weight ratio in the tour. I do not think he will crack. I believe he will hang with Lance throughout the mountains, but will then be buried in the time trial. In the first stage, he finished close to last and lost over 3 minutes to Armstrong.

Rasmussen obviously needs to gain time on Armstrong, but if he's, say, 3 minutes ahead of Armstrong going into the time trial, having the yellow jersey might give him enough of a boost to be able to hold out in that time trial... But I'm going to wait saying anything until after the weekend...
