Ned livens up this forum, and his mix of trolls and serious posts make him a great asset to 'Poly

I look forward to the day he'll return

BTW, I think this thread is very worth it. Not every absentee would bring himself such sympathy, that's for sure.

Ned isn't really like Fez (and me sort of), because he doesn't get upset by what people say. At least he never said anything. Maybe it's better to get a little bit upset like me, but not be as fascist ******* like Fez.

Ned vanishes at the same time that FG reappears?

That can not be a coincidence.

Anyway, though his convictions were often what I would consider lunatic, one thing about Ned was that he had the courage of his convictions, and then some.

                to Ned

Pretty much spot on, Berz. Additionally people forget or are unaware of much of his contribution to the SMAC forums and atribute his OT posts as his only 'Poly contributions. Shame that.

I'm sure Kidicious and Fez feel the same way. I wonder why you haven't created threads for them ... at least Fez, who has left.
People have created threads for Fez when he leaves. I figured if I didn't start a thread for Ned, no one would.

And thanks to everyone who refrained from trolling, to keep this thread open.

I did a thread for Ned a couple months back, before he left. However it didn't work out so well.

Who will I argue with if Ned leaves.

Therein lies the problem with the abuse people with unique opinions get heeped upon in Poly (You included you wack job Commie ). If peoples skin isn't thick enough you end up with a monolithic group thinking site.

There is a bit of that now but there are enough indivduals that have push back to keep it vibrant and dynamic.

Ned was absolutely crazy, but I liked him all right.

At least, he was absolutely politcally crazy, but that's okay. I mean, I wouldn't want him running the world, since that's reserved for me, but he'd've made a nice lieutenant or something.

                              I think.

Ned would have made a good Minister of Torture.

Well if you needed one of those.
